One of the best bands that ever did the experimental post-metal thing. I'm depressed that they laid the band to rest as they wrote some of the most emotional, sprawling musical (dirge)s ever committed to tape. Vanishing Point is an excellent retrospective of their entire progression as a band. A beautiful swan song for Dirge.

All of this apologetic wrist wringing of the vocals is extremely lame. They are awesome. That said, I am a fan of Unsane, Drive Like Jehu, Barkmarket, and Big Black. Strong release.
